S11E06: “You’re Hungover Because You Drank Too Much.”

PODCAST | In this ill-planned and unintentionally music-filled episode, we talk about various methods of attempting to convert people to craft beer, the potential beer gods that may be inhabiting the world, and do a brief review of Melbourne’s GABS Container A beers. We also discover a very old whisky thanks to an oversized poster on the wall of our recording venue, The Catfish.

Finally, we talk extensively about the video game Street Fighter, in honour of Mountain Goat’s current seasonal beer, as well as their recent streak of game-related labels.

Note: Please forgive/ignore the background music, it was an unintended consequence of the venue.

Featured beers: Rare Breed: Rye Fighter Double IPA by Mountain Goat Beer and Black IPA by Pirate Life Brewing.

Chris is an editor, writer, and occasional novelist who in a former life published online magazines for a living while working out of obscure coffee shops. He has travelled extensively and has eaten and enjoyed exotic delights ranging from instant ‘just add water’ potatoes while on a Russian train to snails and Brie from a tiny Montreal kitchen. Chris is a great lover of the experiences around and associated with food and believes the culture of a venue, as quirky or strange as it might be, is just as important as the food it sells. He is also a co-host of The Brunswick Beer Collective, a podcast dedicated to the lighter side of craft beer.
