S03E04 – Season 3, Episode 4

PODCAST | In this very radio-friendly episode, Jeff decides to call in sick for the recording; Chris ponders if a marriage of two very different beer brands can change our perception of both; and Paul chronicles how he ‘accidently’ managed to turn up in Perth just in time for WA Beer Week. We also discuss the value of a perfect example of a particular style of beer and then attempt to work out how to review it.

This episode was recorded live at the Steam Packet Hotel in the Melbourne suburb of Williamstown as we prepared ourselves for a trip to the Williamstown Beer and Cider Festival.

Featured beers: Venom Golden Ale by Venom Brewing and Porter by Colonial Brewing Co.

Chris is an editor, writer, and occasional novelist who in a former life published online magazines for a living while working out of obscure coffee shops. He has travelled extensively and has eaten and enjoyed exotic delights ranging from instant ‘just add water’ potatoes while on a Russian train to snails and Brie from a tiny Montreal kitchen. Chris is a great lover of the experiences around and associated with food and believes the culture of a venue, as quirky or strange as it might be, is just as important as the food it sells. He is also a co-host of The Brunswick Beer Collective, a podcast dedicated to the lighter side of craft beer.
