MELBOURNE | The Fox & Daisy Wine Room is a Flemington wine bar by Nick Prendergast and Kim Heffernan. Nick and Kim wanted to create a community focused spot showcasing local producers and they’ve succeeded. Think local craft beer, wine, cheese, cured meats, and more.
Wine wise, it’s a great assortment of independent wines ranging from familiar, old world varietals through to modern, funky, minimal intervention styles. Likewise the beer list ranges from approachable pilsners to barrel aged sours and more. And if you find something you really like, the Fox & Daisy also has a take away license, so you can enjoy it at home as well as at the bar.
For food, it’s things like charcuterie and cheeses, plus bread from local Yarraville Cobb Lane Bakery, along with a few cooked options on the weekend. Think Spanish meatball stew and cheese fondue.
