PERTH | Wines Of While is a small natural wine bar and take away bottle shop at the top end of William Street in Northbridge. It’s become one of our favourite spots in Perth for a glass of wine with a great atmosphere and a focus on interesting, quality wines.

The space seats 50, with timber floor boards and furniture helping to create a homely atmosphere. Two large windows look out to the street and provide lots of natural light. It provides a perfect opportunity to watch the world pass by.

Around 10 wines are offered by the glass on any given day, with a further 200 bottles in the fridges available to drink at the bar if you’re looking for something more. The offering is extensive from local to foreign, and traditional styles to more modern natural wines. For something other than wine, there’s a small selection of beer and spirits on offer, but really you’re coming here for the wine. If beer and spirits is what you’re after head to nearby 399 Bar or Mechanics Institute.

Meanwhile the food at Wines of While is anything but an afterthought. The menu is Mediterranean influenced, with things like crusty sourdough, terrine, pasta, and the like. It’s food that works great with wine, and you could happily enjoy a proper dinner here if you were really hungry.
