MELBOURNE | First there was the ‘Not So Junior Mint‘ and next there was ‘Bruce‘. We’ve not wasted any time in sorting out our next collaboration beer, with our partner in crime this time around being Footscray-based brewery Hop Nation.

The Market IPA is a beer borne out of the Hop Nation team’s love of exploring the tastes and flavours of Vietnam and nearby Footscray Market, and Paul’s travels through Vietnam. It’s a beer with a strong local connection that combines the flavours of Vietnam, with the juicy hopped up goodness of a New England IPA.

The Market IPA has been brewed with oats, malted and unmalted wheat, and a Vermont strain yeast, the same one that’s used in the famed Heady Topper. It’s a hoppy beer that’s been double dry hopped with Ella, Simco, Mosaic for a lot of tropical, citrus notes. Additions include Vietnamese Mint, Kaffir Lime, Chillies, Mango and Passionfruit, all sourced from retailers in Footscray. It’s tasting delicious, and we’re sure you’ll love it.

We recorded an episode of the Brunswick Beer Collective podcast while we were at Hop Nation and we discussed a whole lot of things about the Market IPA and more with owners Sam Hambour and Duncan Gibson. You can have a listen to it here.

The Market IPA will be launching at Beer Deluxe Federation Square on 26 Jan 2018 as part of their IPA event. And for the first time ever for a Brunswick Beer Collaboration beer, this one will be available nationally. Here’s a list of venues where you’ll be able to find the Market IPA across Australia:
