S08E12: Stout Actually

PODCAST | In this bumper season-closing episode, we take over the University of Melbourne’s Tsubu bar to talk about the bars and breweries of Canberra, Australia; the books and beers of the upper west coast of the USA and Canada; and the booze and (lack of) bacon of Manchester, UK. Beyond this we discuss whether there can be such a thing as a summer stout, try to decide if 5.0 ABV is really high enough to make a great stout, and unwittingly pit three together to work out which is the best stout… actually.

And if that wasn’t enough, we delve into the Untappd checkins of our own beer, Bruce, and try to work out which one aren’t ours.

This is our last episode of this season, but don’t stress, we’ll be back in a month.

Featured beers: Black Metal Disco by Balter Brewing Company, Opacus Stout by StormBreaker Brewing, and Ardbeg BA Imperial Stout – Special Edition – Hibernate by Cloudwater Brew Co.
