S11E01: It Sounds Like They’re Just Making This S**t Up

PODCAST | In this brand-new, season-opening episode we crack open a box of four Geuze-style beers from Lambeek brewery, BOON. It’s a journey we didn’t really expect, if only because the box came with it’s only multi-language, in-depth instruction manual. It made us want to write one of our own.

We also talk about our recent pub crawl to the south of Melbourne and everything we discovered. Or at least, everything we collectively remembered we discovered.

Note: This episode features two beers from the BOON box. The other two beers will be featured in S11E02.

Featured beers: Oude Geuze Boon à l’Ancienne – Vat 91 Mono Blend and Oude Geuze Boon à l’Ancienne – Vat 92 Mono Blend by Brouwerij Boon.

He has travelled extensively and has eaten and enjoyed exotic delights ranging from instant ‘just add water’ potatoes while on a Russian train to snails and Brie from a tiny Montreal kitchen. Chris is a great lover of the experiences around and associated with food and believes the culture of a venue, as quirky or strange as it might be, is just as important as the food it sells. He is also a co-host of The Brunswick Beer Collective, a podcast dedicated to the lighter side of craft beer.
