MELBOURNE | Have you ever got to the end of a meal, gulped down an after dinner mint, and said to yourself, ‘I really wish this were a beer.’? If so, it is our great pleasure to introduce to you our newest creation, the Not-So-Junior Mint.
Created by the City Lane’s beer crew, The Brunswick Beer Collective, in collaboration with the great people at 7 cent Brewery, the Not-So-Junior Mint is a chocolate mint porter, modeled on the flavour of an after dinner mint, and like parents watching their child ride’s first bike ride, we really couldn’t be prouder of the beer it’s grown into.
The Not-So-Junior Mint will be revealed as part of the 7 cent Brewery Hostile Tap Takeover at Brunswick East’s The Alehouse Project, from the 16th until the 18th of September, 2016, and will join 12 other limited and not-so-limited release beers from the brewery. But get in fast, they won’t last long.
And for those who are curious about how the beer was made, be sure to listen to our special podcast recording ‘Making the Not-So-Junior Mint‘, with 7 cent Brewery’s Bousa, as we experiment in search of the perfect after dinner mint flavour. You might be surprised with what we found.
In the meantime, mark up your calendars and join us this Friday to Sunday at the Alehouse Project in Brunswick East to try the Not-So-Junior Mint and to enjoy the many great beers on offer from 7 cent Brewery. Finding our beer on the tap board will be easy – just look for the special plaque we had made up featuring artwork from our good friend Aaron from Every Wall Art.
