SYDNEY | Bucket Boys recently opened a new bar and bottle shop in Darling Square and like the Marrickville original it’s serving up a quality selection of beer, cider, wine, and spirits for customers to enjoy on site or to take away.
Bucket Boys is part of “The Maker’s Dozen” – a selection of food vendors located on the ground floor of Darling Square’s Exchange. It’s modelled after the kind of food court you find in Asia and, like those food courts, you can buy your drinks a Bucket Boys and enjoy them at most of the vendors in the development. Think Vietnamese tacos from Bau Truong, Japanese inspired pasta from Pasta Wafu, and over-the-top soft serve from SAGA Lyte.
The bar itself is small, with only a few stalls and some high tables and stools, but you can take your drinks outside and enjoy them in the sunshine too. There’s a rotating selection of 20 beers on tap, with a focus on local breweries. There’s also a few ‘staff choice’ wines that are available to purchase by the glass.
If you want something that’s not at the bar, the selection at the bottle shop directly across features an assortment of beers covering all kinds of styles. Pale Ales, IPAs, sours, barleywines, and more. There’s also a decent number of wines and spirits, all local, to purchase.
